The Rev. Al Sharpton failed to win the surrender of an escaped New Jersey inmate today - and a prosecutor blasted the activist for interfering with authorities' hunt for the fugitive.
"I wish we were in the loop," said Union County Prosecutor Ted Romankow.
The prosecutor said Sharpton never even informed him that escapee Otis Blunt might have fled to Mexico, allowing him precious time on the run.
Romankow only learned about the south-of-the-border stunt when he read about it in today's Daily News.

A New Jersey prosecutor lambasted Rev. Al Sharpton for meddling in the case of escaped inmate Otis Blunt.
Blunt had reached out to Sharpton this week about turning himself in, but apparently got cold feet and would not return to New Jersey.
APJose Epsinosa, who fled a Union County jail with Blunt, sparking the suicide of a corrections officer, was arrested last night in Elizabeth.

Would there ever be a “bad time” to charge NotSoSharpton with obstruction of justice, and an included charge of aiding and abetting a fugitive?

Talk about a surreal sequence of events . . . the illegal immigrant from Mexico named Jose Epsinosa is caught six blocks away from the county jail in New Jersey, while the black guy named Otis Blunt flees to Mexico.
Al Sharpton's involvement in this story almost lends a degree of sanity to it, doesn't it?

Al Sharpton won’t be charged with anything and won’t be going to jail because he is wearing a custom form fitting get out of jail suit. Guess what color?

He’s just helping out a fellow criminal.
Besides Sharpton is ABOVE the law. Liberals see laws for the LITTLE people and conservatives.

“The inmate, whose escape echoed the plot of Stephen King’s “The Shawshank Redemption,” reached out to Sharpton this week about turning himself in.”
So he crawled through a half-filled sewer pipe? Or escaped while it was raining? I don’t remember Tim Sarandon reaching out to Al Sharpton after his escape.

Looks like another thank-you note is in order, this time to Al Sharpton. He won’t be committing suicide over it, though, you can bank on it.

Anybody that black will stick out in Mexico like a giraffe in a crowd of ibexes. Dark blacks are rare in Mexico.
