Mormons have worldwide real estate holdings of $50 billion. He need only to appeal to Mormon donors and rake in millions. There is also the "White Horse" Prophecy of Joseph Smith, which many Mormons believe that Romney may fulfill. Interesting stuff.

I was just listening to Hugh Hewitt’s show where he said that the founder of Domino’s Pizza (who is Catholic and started a Catholic University) has endorsed Mr. Romney. I am Catholic as well.

$50B? Bah. With 6 million members in the US, or 1.5 million families, if each one owns a $100K house, you’re looking at $150B right there. And a lot of those are in CA. Let’s not even get started with that vast swatches of Idaho, Florida, Utah, Nevada, California, and other states owned on top of that. If I had to guess, it’s closer to $1T.

The church doesn’t endorse candidates or parties, it certainly doesn’t donate to them either. Nor do all Mormons support Mitt. Also the White Horse ‘Prophecy’ was officially denounced as a fake long, long ago and most members don’t even know about it.
