Look what he said today, courtesy of the state house news service:
“Gov. Deval Patrick brushed off worries this morning that his proposed education secretariat could prove divisive, and said the funding mechanisms for his ambitious education reform hopes shouldn’t be addressed until the expansion’s goals are set. “We go to the price tag right away, before we even know what it is we’re talking about paying for,” Patrick said. “And we are so daunted by what the price tag might be, we don’t even let ourselves imagine what we must do in order to steward this society for the next generation.” Patrick said he was unsure whether his Readiness Project would be a likely vehicle for instituting in-state tuition for illegal immigrants”

I read this post yesterday during lunch. I was going to write a comment to post but I was so angry about this, I couldn’t form sentences.
