Anything is better than those mercury-filled seizure-causing light bulbs that liberals are pushing.

They’re great! They live forever, draw way less power than flourescent, can be made to mimic incandescent color, and can work with dimmers.

But they cost a mint.

$22 for a bulb.

LED’s in three years! This is why we are now required to buy these new fluorescent bulbs by 2009.

I’ll literally believe it when I see it. In the meantime, I’m stocking up on 100 watt incandescents at 40-cents each.

I agree. I’m happy that LED technology is being domesticated at a time when it is politically correct to trumpet dirty fluorescent light technology, regardless that fluorescent technology is more efficient than incandescent lighting.

But, but, but, they said invest in the mercury bulbs. Watch to see who tells you LED’s cause cancer, birth defects, and retardation.

GO LED’s

I started using the CFL lights in places where it is difficult to change the bulb at least 10 years ago. I now use them in more than half of my lights. They aren't perfect, but they make my life easier and they save me money. When the LEDs become affordable, I will give them a try.

I am not attached to 90 year old technology.
