Then I will gladly pay the higher price for them vs those spiral crap lightbulbs.
“Yes” on all three counts.
They meet your criteria. Unfortunately, they are currently expensive. However, price is dropping quickly.
All I know is that the LED Christmas lights made my whole family sick. We had to move them outside. They are hideous.
Ease your fears. I’ve seen ‘em. I’ve even got a headlamp that has 18 LEDs in it that turn on in levels: 2/6/18,,and even the setting with two LEDs is bright enough for most getting around in a blackout. The 18 Setting is very bright. and it runs on 3 AAA batteries. Supposedly, with only 2 LEDs being used, it’ll last over a 100 hours. It’s what they used to make the new New Years Ball with. I wouldn’t buy f;ourencents ,unless the DemoCommies made sure that was all that was available, but i’d happily buy LED “bulbs”. But they need to work on shading and diffusing the intense bright white, to make them more palatable as lamp bulb replacements, IMO. But I figure that’ll come in time anyways.
They do. Even faster than incandescents.
If they are bright as soon as they come on rather than waiting for them to warm up...
They are. And you can dim them with a standard dimmer switch. (Although the color doesn't change to yellow/orange and they dim down like an incandescent lamp)
If they don't have a "hum" when they are on...
Less hum than some incandescents, no filament whipping around in it's own current induced magnetic field.
And the classic LEDs were rated for 100,000 hours (About ten years continuous use). Newer ones? 200,000 hours...
If they turn on as soon as you hit the switch...

They turn on faster than a standard light bulb.
