ok So it only applies to Gen-X and up? What gives with that?

I don’t mind this requirement (I like it in fact) but I HATE that it applies only to people in their 40s and younger—I’m getting tired of Boomer and Senior exemptions for everything.

In my city, a parcel tax for schools was passed because it EXEMPTED seniors, but they could still vote for it (and so did), and they are the wealthiest group in my community!

Missouri told the feds to GTH. We hae our own program and it is the state responsibility for tracking it’s citizens.

When I voted recently on some local issues (last November) it was the first time you had to produce a photo ID before getting your ballot. I’m in a very rural area, my designated polling place gets maybe 400 voters tops in a heavy election cycle like this falls Presidential race.

Anyway, there were a half dozen or so voters inside, most already punching their ballots when my turn to get a ballot arrived. When I was asked for my photo ID I handed them my Ohio DL. Then I did something the poll workers didn’t expect....

I THANKED THEM for asking for my ID.

The whole room went DEAD SILENT for a moment, then the surprised woman poll worker said ‘Your so welcome! Nobody has said Thank You, a few have loudly complained about the new requirement...’

I said ‘Nobody should even be allowed in this building without identification....’

Which got a half dozen ‘Amen brother’ type comments from those waiting to vote.
