It was Thompson who attacked Huckabee, not the other way around.

And it was about time. This jerkwipe needed to be taken down, and taken down hard. Hats off to Fred.

Did anyone notice the split screen part where Huckabee was repeatedly blinking his eyes?

Clearly agitated. It reminds me of when President Nixon was shown sweating during a debate -- cost him if I remember correctly.

Maybe now the so called experts will drop the “no fire in the belly” clamor.

Thompson/Hunter08 or Thompson/Allen08

yes. Just the no nonsense answer from a man that knows his core beliefs and isn't afraid to say them.

Thank you.

He isn't going to be bullied by reporters, democrats, libs and will honestly try to do the best.

I'm voting for Fred.

I'll even go to the polls if he's not nominated and write him in. that video was priceless.

You’re just smarting because Fred put the Huckster in his place.

Wrong...I don't put all my hopes and dreams on a single particular candidate like those here who have sold out on Thompson.

If you could manage an ounce of objectivity, you would see that each time he attacked, Thompson just inadvertantly gave Huckabee a perfect opportunity to adequately rebut a bogus allegation. Thompson's approach may have worked on someone who isn't as quick on his feet but it didn't work with Huckabee. Thompson also gave Huckabee the opportunity later to say to Hannity and Colmes that folks like Thompson would be calling Reagan himself a liberal if they were running against him today. He could have been referring to many hysterical posters on this board.

Hello,

More smarmy comments. Do you two know each other? Come on, we all know you are best buds....

Actually, bitching about style, while ignoring substance, says much more about you than those you criticize.

Thanks for playing.

Pablum spewing prognosticators like Barnes, makes me ill. How long has this guy floated around DC running his cake hole? What has he actually done? How do you get a lifetime position of professional punditry?

Reagan’s style over Reagan’s substance? Well, sadly, it seems to have gone that way for elections since the dawn of the boob tube...

What was Reagan best known for? What did they call him? "The Great Comminicator." This is what he was best known for. It doesn't matter what issues you represent if you are incapable of representing them well and convincing the American voter in the process.

If Thompson were truly the most like Reagan, he would not only be on the same side of the issues, but effective at communicating them. The sad thing is, Thompson IS an excellent communicator, but he has not brought it consistently during this campaign season, and what he has brought has come too late. Otherwise, HE would be leading the polls and winning primaries. The proof is in the pudding, as they say.

Geraghty over at his campaign spot blog on NR.com stated tonight that one of Fred’s people described Big Fred’s brand of completely genuine conservatism as being the “Authentic Barbecue to Huckabee’s McRib.” That comparison seems pretty apt to me, as indeed, it will hopefully be to the good Republican voters of South Carolina next week...

Yeah.. all we been hearing is " Fred has no fire in his belly " for months now, and once Fred shows some fire, now he is being called " Cranky Old man in bad form " ..... Geeeezzzzzzz Fred can't win from losing to you folks.
Just like the liberals, you guys want it both ways....
At least Fred shut up the folks who were saying he has no fire in his belly.
Regardless of what you think that he is a " Cranky Old man in bad form " ... I don't blame Fred from trying to run a clean campaign... trying to get airtime when the MSM is trying to suppress Fred and shout out Fred... I don't blame Fred for getting frustrated.... and to be honest ? the deck is stacked against Fred.
Even Reagan had his moment of frustration when he said in that one debate " I AM PAYING FOR THIS MIKE " ...

Fred was great tonight because he accomplished what he needed to do: slow down Huck in SC. He succeeded.

McCain and Rudy also were solid. Romney was invisible and Paul is certifiably insane.

Sending Text Msg is easy

I’m a Verizon customer and this is how it works on Verizon:

1) Go to Main Menu
2) Scroll through tabs until you get to “Messaging” tab
3) Option 1 is “New Txt Msg”, so press 1 on keypad
4) Type in phone number, 36288, in first box highlighted
5) Use down arrow to get to text box (bigger box below)
6) In the text box, use keypad to type in the code for the candidate, r6
7) Click on button to send the msg (middle Menu button)

FoxNews will send you a message to thank you for voting. If you don’t have a msg plan with your calling plan, it will cost 10 cents to send and 10 cents to receive the message from Fox

" All Fred accomplished was to make himself look like a cranky old man with a grudge against Mike for beating him at the ballots. Very bad form."

Yup... the new talking point for the liberal MSM for the next 24/7 for a week.

It is easy but still a choice that favors those candidates like Paul who have lots of young voters.

Ohh yeah ? I don't blame Fred for trying to run a clean campaign and getting frustrated that he is not getting time to speak during most of these debates, and frustrated that one of his competition sent out a false rumor before Iowa that he was going to drop out after Iowa which cost him some votes.
BY FAR FRED HAS RUN THE MOST HONEST AND CLEAN CAMPAIGN.

What is amazing is that Fred has been getting nothing but help from sites like this and the mainstream conservative media (Rush, Hannity, Laura Ingraham Show, etc.)! If he hadn't waited until the 11th hour, chances are he would be a front runner at this point in time. Unfortunately, his bad campaign judgment does not inspire confidence. It may reflect a defect in his judgment in other areas. Not something you want in a leader.
