Well I’m not going to vote for a semi-conservative. Even the Arkansas GOP isn’t supporting Huckabee. He campaigned for Democrats against his fellow Republicans. What can you not understand about Huckabee? He may be a nice guy but he is not the guy we need for President. If picking up a bible is the only criteria you need then get ready to vote for the anti-Christ when he comes because he’ll be speaking the name of Jesus more than anyone.

The 35% nonsense is the text messaging — mostly the kids who text 24/7 as a way of life. They “like” Ron Paul because all they’re picking up on is that we should mind our own business in the world, our “interference” is breaking us economically, etc. Whoever watched that debate and didn’t realize that Ron Paul has really gone over the deep end — and is WAY out of tune with the fact that we truly are in the middle of a war — is probably too young to vote.

If Fred presenting the fact that Huckabee is a flip-flopper with absolutely no backbone at a debate using the Hucksters own words, makes Thompson look like a cranky old man in your eyes, then so be it.

All Fred accomplished was to make himself look like a cranky old man with a grudge against Mike for beating him at the ballots. Very bad form.

Exactly. While he was bragging about being the most like Reagan on the issues, he was acting the most un-Reaganlike in demeanor. Reagan had a way of always making it being about the message, and about his audience being the best they could be. If Reagan made a dig at an opponent, it was usually in a charming, light-hearted way, like Reagan knew he was in control and had nothing to fear. Thompson was not like that. He attacked Huckabee like he was desperate for a win...any win. Too bad, because I like Thompson.

I have to say, if anyone emulated Reagain in demeanor, it was the two candidates that so many here despise.
