THE apparent US economic slowdown could trigger global recession this year and stymie years of robust growth in Asia and Africa, the UN said.
"The major uncertainty for 2008 now emanates from the US economy," according to the world body's World Economic Situation and Prospects 2008.

The UN says the proposed stimulus packages "do not address the root causes of huge imbalances" between financial surplus nations, such as China, Japan and major oil-producing nations on the one hand and deficit countries such as the US on the other.

Do I have to read any more of this? I mean just think about those 2 sentences. It all reminds me of some of my relatives.
They show up, live off you, drive you crazy, then go nuts when you tell then they may not be able to suck you dry any longer. I’m sick of the UN. I’m sick of the whiny countries that think we owe them prosperity. And I’m really sick of the deadheads.(free traitors)

I wish they could be kicked out of the U.S. and our monies stop being funneled to them and their anti-American efforts.

Any Patriot feels the same...in my opinion, this is a hit by the UN on the Bush admin...to remind voters how important change to dims is in this election...they don’t give a damn about the little countries problems, not really! If they where, why in the hell do they want to tax us to death in the Global Warming farce, that will do so much more to a world depression, than any USA recession!
You have to be communist elitist, or a dumbed down dim to believe the dichotomy, double speak of the Liberals in the world

Then the solution is simple - the world should “Buy American” !
See ? Crisis solved.
We’re now returning to our regularly scheduled program of global taxation and control.

According to that article, we ARE a third world nation, a ‘deficit’ nation whose only purpose is to be the host for the global economic parasites.

The first cut the US can make to save money is to close the UN.

Growth may not be as robust as it has been in the post WTC911 years and the UN wants to comment. What about limiting the USA economy because of Global Warming, wouldn’t that do something interesting to USA growth and therefore the entire planet? BTW it is -11 right now and looks like the high temperature Sunday will be -25. How’s that for Global Warming?

In response the US has decided to cut off all funding of the U.N. and use those funds for the direct benefit of the American people —to fund a tax cut. //dreaming
