A new twist worth looking at.

It is not a “new twist.” The Texas Monthly wrote about it back in 2001 when Paul dicussed the issue:

It appears that the good doctor is about to have an “Emperors New Clothes Moment”. His I did not know what was going on excus3e if developing some rather large holes. Still the Pualites will be along to tell us to “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain”. The Wizard is being exposed for the cheap magician he really is.

His role in the single most effective piece of outreach of his organization, he explained to Wolf Blitzer last night, was as a publisher -- one who didn't bother to read his own publication.

In other news, Hustler Magazine's Larry Flynt was shocked (SHOCKED) to find naked pictures in his magazine.

"I'm just a publisher, someone else takes the pictures," he croaked. "I thought we printed cross-stitch patterns."

You must have missed the point of this article, the new twist is that in other interviews, he admitted writing those statements and defended them as being out of context. In Texas Monthly and earlier this week he denied writing them and said anyone who thinks them is small minded.

Ed left out some bits.

I urge people to read the Reason article, referenced, not just Capt Ed’s summary.

The newsletter was published literally dozens of times in a year and Paul was not the editor. He made a gigantic blunder but it is understandable that he did not read every single story. BTW, when do you think McCain will fully apologize for callling the Vietnamese gooks and Fred will apologize for supporting Aristide? Oh....I forgot Fred said he was againt the embargo (not for Aristide) though he signed a form to the contrary. Shocked, Shocked is right.

I wrote yesterday I would give him the benefit of doubt until he either provided conclusive proof these articles were fraudulent, or claimed responsibility. Well, in today’s world we can’t run away from our past. Ron Paul is the fraud. And his continued association with the likes of Alex Jones, David Duke, Stormfront, et. al. is telling way beyond any apology his supporters can provide.

IMO I agree, Ron Paul is a racist. And those who wish to sugar coat this sickness should be aware of its affect on them.

That is what was in the Texas Monthly too! Did you read it? In the Texas Monthly, he admited that he foolishly stood by the statements when originally published.

Actually he set the record straight in 2001.That’s when the Texas Monthly article came out.

No changing the subject, Ronulans.

Ron Paul HAS claimed responsiblity and accepted blame. What more do you want him to do? Can Fred say the same? He signed a lobbying form supporting the restoration of Aristide but now says he was only against the embargo.

Not changing the subject. I addressed the point which was about Paul’s alleged racism. Unfortunately, you do not apper to care that McCain called Asians gooks. The emperor has no clothes is right.
