I have Directv and love it (esp the HD content, growing all the time)

As for your problem, I think you may have to change your record setup to “record new” instead of getting all the repeats.

Also, for those of you with an HR20 series HD-DVR, “DirecTv On Demand” is now in beta. It lets you download content over the internet (you need a broadband connection) so you don’t have to schedule a recording or wait for something to watch... you merely download it when you want it, and it’s free!

Apparently, the next upgrade may include ability to program your DVR over the net.

I’ve been waiting on these features for my HR21.
I like the on-demand feature, but I want to use the USB/SATA cable options to move the MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 to my laptop. Also, I want to add external storage capablity and not pay to upgrade my unit to 1TB internal.

Why didn’t they put 802.11g in these units? Now I have to buy a wireless bridge or another gadget cuz I’m not running any more CAT6.
