Is it me, or has FOX become Fred friendly in the past week and a half?
I suspect: (1) they were losing viewers and (2) you can only ignore an elephant in the room so long.
This morning on Fox and Friends the female on spot correspondent was darn near gushing over Fred when she talked about him and said he basically won hands down and dismantled Hickabee.
Yes, I think Fox is a bit more Fred friendly. And so is National Review.
It’s not too late, because it’s still a 5 man race, and the voting will continue to be split, with no one getting a majority. So it’s important that Fred stays in and develops as the preferred alternative to each of the other candidates.
But Fox is still drinking some of the MSM koolaid. For instance, this trite jab: “since formally launching his late-game campaign in September.” Fred waited until Labor Day, as I expected he would, which is approximately 14 months before the election. That’s a late entry? Only because hillary and Barrack decided to announce half a year earlier than usual.
They seem to be giving him more air time....
Fred The Natural Thompson

Work took me away from watching the debate so all I can gauge how it went on is other bloggers and man o man, does it look like Fred took it or what? The best take on it tonight comes from Jim Geraghty:
Tonight, Fred Reminded Me of Roy Hobbs.
Winner: Thompson. This performance was so commanding, I wanted his last answer to echo back to the lights in the back of the auditorium, blow out all the lamps and spotlights, for the theme to the Natural to play, and for him to trot around the stage in slow motion while sparks showered down in the background.
Classic!
Even Mitt Romneys biggest cheerleader, Hugh Hewitt, called it for Fred:
Fred had a great night, Mitt a good one and Rudy did fine as well.
The debate is finished. Fred will be declared the clear winner. There are a lot of folks on our side of the blogosphere who were pulling for him. He delivered his one-liners better than anyone else. He aggressively attacked Huckabee, showed humor, and looked comfortable on stage.
Fred win, place and show.
The bias is visible in odd ways. Right after the debate the Luntz focus group enthusiastically backed Thompson. He was the clear winner, the best debater, the most energetic, etc. Only 2 people backed him before and 14 hands went up after. Then a commercial break and Hannity talk. When they went back to Luntz the group was far more subdued. One woman who was excited before now said Fred "did ok, but it's too late", and many others said also it was "too little too late". Did Fox tell them to temper their answers during the break? It is well known there is bad blodd between Fox and Fred because Fred hired and then fired a senior Fox producer late last year.
Yeah... we’ll save Sean a seat on Fred’s bandwagon way back in the back seat were the mudd flies..lol
