Wonder how he proposed to do that? New taxes, new regulations?
Fred streese the need to curb CO2 on his website too
The Politics of Hope! The Audacity of Hope!
Mike Huckabee and Barak Obama, political twins.
Does he explain why “climate change” is just automatically wrong?
Even when the change is to a warmer, more hospitable climate that would (if it were not just a myth) increase the arable land surface?
Yep. New tagline material.
Not technically false, I guess, but your statement is definitely misleading.
How is it misleading? Unless you accept that manmade CO2 is responsible for global warming, there is no reason to curb it.
The statement on the website is a sop to the (absurd) "precautionary principle". The website also emphasizes the "uncertainty" as to what is causing global warming. Thompson has not endorsed any specific measures to do anything about it, and when I asked him a rather loaded question about it myself last week he came across as very skeptical about the whole thing.
I would rather he not even have what he does on the website, but it's a whole lot better than Huckabee's buying wholesale into the anti-human Stalinist Cult of Al Gore and calling for "cap & trade". Same goes for the idiot McCain.
You are an honest man and I solute you. Most Freddies wouldn’t know what his position is. I think it is just political positioning too.
Good luck with Fred. I, by the way am basing my support on what Huck says he will do as president, not the things he did as a Republican governor of an 87% Dem state. He had to compromise or quit.
I use some of the same logic with Romney, whom I also like. As far as Huck is concerned, I actually agree with every word Fred said about him last nigh, and I would add some choice words about just how far gone Huck is on environmental alarmism. Hearing him equate following Al Gore to "stewardship" of the Earth makes me want to set something on fire.
“I, by the way am basing my support on what Huck says he will do as president.”
You must mean his populist campaign message that sounds exactly like a liberal democrat? Well if that is what he promises to do, then I do not want any of it.
Hmm? Was it Margaret Thatcher who said “Compromise is the absence of leadership”?
I guess conservative ole Huck, just forgot about it.
