“remake the health-care system in order to prevent anyone from being denied a transplant,”
he’s going to increase the number of organs available? Even China says they have stopped organ farming.
It’s not your insurance company, it’s the availability of a liver, then the question becomes, which of the 100 people waiting gets it? The unlucky souls who must make this decision take lots into consideration, but I don’t think insurance coverage is high on the list.
Course this is the guy who said that if he were elected he’d legalize adult stem cell research and chris reeves would walk. yes I know stem cell research is not banned at the federal level.

I would not think it unreasonable to believe his assault on thee healthcare system when he was a trial attorney has damaged the system for decades to come. Someone needs to discuss cause and effect with him. Apparently he isn’t getting it.

In the UK three years ago, hospitals were discussing the necessity of discarding viable organs because the NHS didn't have enough surgeons qualified to do the transplants.
Not only increase the number of organs but once we have "universal" health care and the shortages start how is he going to increase the number of surgeons able to do the transplants?!
Who would want to go through the rigors of Med. school, residency, fellowship etc..to work for a nanny state? No thanks.
