An MSNBC report said the final rules were estimated to have cut costs by 75%, nullifying the objections made by many states. If your state still doesn’t agree to the new ID cards, you’ll have to show a passport or some other form of federally recognized ID to board a plane.

Could one conclude then, that the Federal government is completely aware that there are many phony state drivers liscenses in circulation?

How about the states that demand driver ID's for VOTING. The Feds gonna clean that up too, since they are intimately linked?

The head of Homeland Security said at a press conference today that there are only three sets of people who should be upset by the new Real IDs: terrorists, illegal aliens and swindlers.

Knowing Chertoff, I'm sure they've worked out a system that will let them keep track of citizens and their activities, while giving dead people and illegal aliens the right to vote or work without having to pay taxes.
