His existing new positions should work fine. The only problem he has in pressing any attacks against guys like McCain and Huckabee is that his positions are, well, new. Of course, he's only ever dealt with state issues in a liberal state where Democrats have had veto-proof majorities since practically the dawn of time. McCain doesn't have any such excuse - he not only voted for - he co-sponsored McCain-Feingold and the amnesty program. McCain can't say the liberal Arizona electorate made him do it, so he could get his conservative bills enacted. I'll vote for either McCain or Huckabee if they get nominated, but neither of them is my first choice.
