OK, I’ll buy that. I just thought that the Flushing Remonstrance, which pre-dated the Virginia statute by more than 125 yrs. was more of a ground breaker. But hey, what do I know.

OK, Ill buy that. I just thought that the Flushing Remonstrance, which pre-dated the Virginia statute by more than 125 yrs. was more of a ground breaker. But hey, what do I know. It may well have precedence, but as another poster noted, the kids' observance of the occasion wouldn't amount to much if they're not in school to observe it.
