I doubt that word made it to the newspapers. I’m a retired LEO from NH, and have had contact with many politicians passing through—either through traffic violations or security details. It’s easy for these things to slip through the cracks unless the department issues a press release or someone inside the department makes a phone call.

Thank you for the inside view.

I am very surprised, though, that telephone call wasn't made. This is one of the most prominent men in the U.S. on the eve of a very widely watched political event in which he was a very active participant.

When you’re around these politicians all the time, it’s no big deal. The only one who I really enjoyed seeing and protecting was Reagan. The Bushes, especially 41, are decent and authentic men.

These guys are a dime a dozen at primary time. The news coverage makes them seem larger than life, but up close, they’re not much different than the small-time politician running for city council.

To call Blumenthal “one of the most prominent men in the U. S.” is a bit deceiving. Mr. Vicious deliberately tries to lay low as he conducts his nefarious activities for his masters.

I will guarantee you that he has been involved in much more heinous crime than DWI.

Last week, the Manchester [NH] Union Leader managed a next-day report on a video store robbery, a DOI, a truck being vandalized, and a woman turning herself in on a bench warrant for indecent exposure. A 4:17 a.m. ATM burglary at the Go-Go Mart merited same-day coverage.

If this fell through the cracks, it was because it was pushed..
