I disagree. I think the Democrats will vote for Huckabee since he has the glass jaw in a general election.
It doesn’t make sense for them to vote for McCain and Romney - both will kill the Democratic nominee (albeit, for different reasons).
To be candid, Democrats really do care about the letter beside the name, regardless of political affiliation. A McCain presidency won’t see a lot of liberals gaining power over the nation. There will be a lot of bipartisan dealings to be sure and a lot of moderate appointments; but as for leftists and liberals? Hardly.
You are all missing the point.
Anyother Canidate vrs Democrat Canidate and the Democrats have a chance of losing in the Gerneral Election. It might be a very small chance but it is a chance.
McCain vrs any Democrat and the Democrats win no matter who wins the General Election.
McCain is a Democrat in everything but name. In fact, he is a lot closer to your average Conservative Democrat, (and there are still a bunch of Conservative “Reagan” Demcorats) then he is to any Conservative Republican. So the best of all worlds for the Democrats would be McCain to win the election in Nov 2008.
Yes, Huckabee Republicans will be the ones from the trailer court and the Huckabee Democratic crossovers will be from the universities. The smart Democrats will cross over and vote for a fool that will be easy to beat.
