Romney allowed sanctuary cities in MA to flouish because he said the courts made him do it. This was in spite of the fact that Romney had federal law on his side. But now voters are supposed to believe that Romney's found a pair? That he's willing to fight for what he says he believes in? That he'll go to court, fight Congress in order to secure our borders?
Snort.
I am confident Mitt will do the right thing on the border. Tom Tancredo believes it and so does Sheriff Joe too. I believe it because Mitt took tough actions against illegals before most of America was even paying attention. He denied illegals driver's licenses and tuition breaks back in 2003 -- before the illegals marched in our streets demanding amnesty.
But, although by LAW he had zero authority to do anything about those cities, he vetoed a plan to allow in-state tuition for illegal aliens, opposed granting illegals drivers licenses, and encouraged state troopers to enforce immigration laws. All this while Rudy defended, encouraged and welcomed illegal immigration into New York City.

And whether you choose to believe his commitment to follow through or not, his positions and his record on this issue are exceedingly better than that of any of the other viables -- Huck, McCain and Rudy (or any of the dems).
