I think the Democrats do that well enough. I think that we can at least give the President his due respect here, when he is trying to accommplish these difficult tasks. He gets bashed enough on the Immigration debate even though he has undoubtedly saved thousands of American Lives with his policies but history will judge appropriately I’m sure.
President Bush does deserve credit for the Supreme Court nominees, the tax cuts (although he negated them with the lack of use of his veto pen and allowing spending to get out of control), our not being hit by a terrorist again, and......well, in eight years, I can't think of anything else to credit him for. That's not to say that there isn't more, it just that I don't remember anything with all of the negatives. What I do know though is that our party is in shambles after his presidency when he had complete control of the government with a Republican House and Senate, but I blame Trent Lott, Dennis Hastert, John McCain, Bill Frist, and a few others for that also.
