For those who can't comprehend "A Day In The Life of President Bush," we who gather here admire, respect and support our President. This is OUR "Sanity Island." So, please remember that .. and maybe think 3 times before you jump in with any junk or offensive comments. The Mods are on patrol, and will toss out an offender in a heartbeat. Thank you.

"There is no doubt in my mind when history is written, the final page will say:

Victory was achieved by the United States of America for the good of the world; that by doing the hard work now, we can look back and say, the United States of America is more secure, and generations of Americans will be able to live in peace."

Very powerful.

**Grammar police alert**

The latter part of his statement needs to be edited, though.

I always love to see photos of our troops with Pres. Bush.

It's obvious they love their CIC.

What a contrast to how they felt about the buffoon, Bubba

Bush watching all the smiling Bahrainis reminds me of the movie Laurence of Arabia. Bush looks so happy and rested. He needed to get away from all the negative and hate from the media and the lefties here. Just look at thoes great smiles on his face. He looks terrific! Way to go Bush!!!

Thanks for the dose - great opening photos, I love the wording on one of them “deplanes” it reminds me of a term we use in shipping “devaned” which means if your consignment is in a container with lot of others unpacking the container and putting the individual consignments into a warehouse ready to send out to the individual consignees.

Hi everyone! Just wanted you to know that there are people outside of the States who are praying for President Bush’s safety during this trip.

Could anyone please tell me why the First Lady is not accompanying the President?

Thanks.

I emailed my daughter and asked if they’d had a ‘guest’ in town and if he was was in her neighborhood. She was very excited and sent me two pictures - one of soldiers gathered outdoors in the early morning obviously awaiting the president’s arrival. The other is inside the facility where you can see the girders over the president’s head. It was grainy and dark - I think she used a zoom lens. Over there they thought the trip was classified and she was surprised that I knew about it.

Great pictures. Thank you. As many have said, he is a great President and history will judge him as such. I pray we will get another close to his character and integrity in our next selection. I pray Americans will see the light and elect the best man.

The husband of a friend of ours is in Kuwait right now, doing some sort of work with a private contractor, not even his wife really knows what it is. They have three children. The oldest son graduated from the Air Force Academy, and has been to the Persian Gulf twice doing work related to missles. Their only daughter graduated from West Point, and returned this past summer from a extended tour of duty with her Stryker brigade in Iraq. Their youngest son graduated from Annapolis, and was going to be a Naval aviator, but a physical problem cropped up, and instead he’s doing Information Security at the Pentagon. The Dad is a retired Army Major, who flew attack helicopters in Vietnam, and he really wanted to be able to do something for the US in this war. I guess he got his opportunity! He’s due home in March, and I can’t wait to hear his stories! I hope he got to see the President!
