New York, NY, January 11, 2008 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today called on the United States Supreme Court to continue to allow states to protect their citizens' lives, liberty and property by regulating the purchase and possession of firearms. The League urged the Court to ensure that states retain the ability to keep guns out of the hands of "violent bigots."
Glen S. Lewy, ADL National Chair, and Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, issued the following statement:

Seems the ADL should know better than this.
Their innate right as free men to bear arms is the surest insurance against those who would do harm.
Gun control was one of the first things Hitler did.
One of the major reasons given by Holocaust survivors for their vulnerability to mass murder was the absence of personal firearms to fight back.
Israel learned from this and has one of the world’s highest rates of personal firearm ownership, including some of the world’s most advanced automatic weaponry.
Abraham H. Foxman and his cronies are once again taking the wrong position.

Just like the NAACP, the ADL has become a lapdog for the Democrat left. Perhaps they ALWAYS were.
At any rate, I don;t think the ADL had any par tin drafting the Second Amendment or the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence, so what the heck do they think makes them an authority on this anyway?

Gun control isn’t about guns, it’s about control.
The ADL is waaay out of control, and has been for years. No surprise here. The ACLU’s got nothin’ on them, as far as unapologetically brutal assaults against man’s natural rights to free speech and self-defense are concerned.
ADL lost its way long ago. Now they feel it necessary to inject themselves into debates that don’t concern them.
The ADL would be the ONE organization you would think would be on the side of self-defense. The fact that they want to heavily regulate firearm ownership speaks volumes.
They are about as relevant as a fart in a slaughterhouse.

LOL, sure.... the ADL is promoting the disarming of citizens so those citizens can more easily be herded onto the boxcars by some future tyrannical government. Right.
Sometimes that Scrappleface goes too far with the comedy, lol!
Bush made the comment that we should have bombed Auschwitz, etc. We should have parachute-dropped crates of shotguns, rifles, and handguns, with ammo, all over every country where Jews were in danger from Nazis. A simple drawing stenciled on each crate, of a Jew shooting an SS officer, should have sufficed to get the message across. It would have been an infinitesimal expense compared with our other weapons expenditures in those years. Come to think of it, ALL citizens in those countries would have benefitted. So what if Bad Guys would have picked up some of the crates? The Bad Guys already had more guns than they could use. When Good Guys have guns, the Bad Guys are neutralized.
Come to think of it, why don’t we just start parachute-dropping such crates into every country in every part of the world. The Bad Guys are vastly outnumbered EVERYWHERE by people who want to live in peace and freedom.

I’ve always thought that at least half of the nations in the world would benefit from having pallet loads of AK-47s air-dropped to civilians.
You would also need to drop the will to use them.
