"A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani." -- Steven Pokorny, age 28, at Giuliani during meeting in Miami, Sunday, Jan. 13

MIAMI, Jan. 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rudy Giuliani was rattled by pro-life advocates and canceled his speech at his first bus-tour event Sunday in Miami.  Activists have planned confrontations with Rudy for every stop of his Florida bus tour.  Photos available online.

On Sunday, Jan. 13, at approximately 12:15 PM, pro-life activists were in the crowd at The Green Street Cafe (located at 3110 Commodor Plaza, Coconut Grove Florida, just outside Miami) waiting for Giuliani to begin his Florida Bus Tour.

When Rudy Giuliani arrived, Joseph Landry (age 26) was within 5 feet of the candidate, and began yelling: You are a baby killer! You are a baby killer! Florida is pro-life! Rudy wants public funding for abortion!"  See news report. Law enforcement officials immediately escorted Mr. Landry from the area, while Mr. Landry continued his monologue.

Within Minutes, Steven Pokorny, age 28, stood to his feet and cried out, "A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani! Giuliani wants to kill children and have you pay for it!" Law enforcement did not stop Mr. Pokorny.

At that point, Giuliani left the building, without addressing the crowd.

Mr. Pokorny was able to follow Mr. Giuliani for more than a minute, yelling out about Rudy's pro-choice, pro-homosexual agenda. Again, Mr. Pokorny was not interrupted by police.

Giuliani officials had no idea how many pro-lifers were in the crowd, and how many more times Giuliani would be confronted. This might explain why Mr. Giuliani did not make any remarks - and left the meeting without addressing supporters.

Pro-lifers have scheduled confrontations with Rudy on every stop of his Florida Bus tour.

Video footage of the confrontations with Rudy is available upon request.

One needs the kooks, too. I pray outside of abortion centers, too, but part of me wants to blow the places up. These ARE human slaughter houses. Of course, I know that civil war—the real thing—is not an option. And I keep going back to how people looked upon the radical abolitionists. And it did take a John Brown to drive the South to a mad decision to protect their rights.

The functional word here is “peaceable.” I don’t think that word can reasonably be used to describe what was done to Rooty Tootie.

I didn't see any NON-"peaceable" activities noted in the article. Are you suggesting they should have sat quietly in the audience, raised their hands, and waited to be called upon? If so, it sounds like you would oppose all protests--including many freeping events.

Had this same group done this to Hillary Clinton, would you be whining about how unfair they were to her?

How would you stop abortion ????????????

If you only knew.
_________________________________________________________

If you have some idea on how to stop abortion and have held it back for 35 years, then you are as guilty of the wanton murder of 50 million unborn children as equally as the abortionist himself...

If your answer is Gulianni, you are wasting your time...Rudi does not intend to stop abortion...

There is only one real conservative who is pro-life running for president and that is Duncan hunter...He has signed Acts to protect the unbornm and has a perfect voting record ...
After him there is FRed Thompson..almost as conservative but unfortunately states rights on abortion...

The rest except for Huckabee, maybe, are all anti-life...

I would be ashamed to throw away my conservative principles and vote for Gulianni , Romney, Paul, Huckabee, McCain.....

you throw the Bible at us and yet you do not defend the helpless unborn babies as Jesus and Paul told us to do...

You still haven’t addressed how you think these types of protests are valuable and worthwhile.

Defeating pro-abortion liberal scum like Rooty is valuable and worthwhile. I realize that you and the other Rooty Rooters don't like that, but that's the way it is.

FYI, several interviews with RG answers on prolife supporters, no fed funding, and I might add that he campaigned for pl pols since 98, in my state for one.

While Rudy is my second choice behind Fred Thompson...

The most liberal candidate is your second choice. That says something.

“Let me know if you get an answer to your excellent question. All I’ve heard so far is that such protests are “allowed.”

I don’t expect a rational answer. What it really comes down to is that certain tactics are OK for my cause but completely unfair and disgusting when used by people with opinions I disagree with. Liberals do the same thing.

It is not MY PLACE OR RIGHT to tell other people what to do, how to act, or when to protest. That is THEIR right.

Pretty cool concept, IMO.

Free Republic cut its eyeteeth FReeping liberal politicians. Our chapters followed the Clintons, Gores, and Kerrys all around the country and FReeped them at every opportunity. Our FReeps are legend and the harrowing stories are permanently recorded for posterity on news reels and in several books. We’ve never met a liberal that didn’t deserve FReeping!

I am well aware of that, unfortunately the Rooty Rooters think that their liberal should get a pass because he happens to have an "R" after his name.

Furthermore, if our Republic was to ever adopt the attitude that ANY politician, liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat, was somehow immune from protest then our Constitution wouldn't be worth a damn.

Rudy supporters are not generally welcome here.

What's "here"?

I like Rudy a lot. Wasn't aware there were territorial lines drawn for where can/cannot go.

The best way to stop abortion is for FreeRepublic to take all of the money that it has raised and send it to the Rudy Giuliani campaign. He will best defend the born — and the unborn.

LMAO!

Rudy Giuliani interview with Hannity and Colmes, July 21, 2005:

COLMES: Now, on abortion — now, you are pro-choice, right?

GIULIANI: Yes.

COLMES: You're a pro-choice Republican.

GIULIANI: I am.

~snip~

COLMES: Now, Roe vs. Wade -- You are pro-choice. How important is it to you as a pro-choice Republican to have a pro-choice on the court as someone...

GIULIANI: That is not the critical factor. And what's important to me is to have a very intelligent, very honest, very good lawyer on the court. And he fits that category, in the same way Justice Ginsburg fit that category.

~snip~

GIULIANI: Presidents, going back to the beginning of the republic, generally appoint people on the Supreme Court that they believe agree with them.

Egads....Ginsburg, once former anti-American A.C.L.U. head counsel.....now "just" anti-American.

And Rooty Toot would have been a perfect replacement for her as head of the ACLU.

I don't draw lines and you can't cite anything I said as drawing a line. However, there are lines drawn, just not by me.

One Rudy supporter was banned on this very thread. I didn't ban him nor did I call for it but was happy to see it happen.

Rudy is a liberal. I do not like or support liberals.
