Obama’s Identity Crisis

Which Obama is real? Or is that a naïve question to ask of such a formidable identity artist? ... Like Madonna or David Bowie, he has spent his life trying on different personalities, but while theirs are ... sexual personae, his specialty is racial personae.

... his is “a story of race and inheritance,” two closely linked topics upon which American elites have intellectually disarmed themselves. In an era when fashionable thinkers claim that race is just a social construct, Obama’s subtitle is subversive. Although his expensive education—prep school, an Ivy League bachelor’s degree, and then a Harvard professional diploma—has not equipped him with a conceptual vocabulary adequate for articulating the meaning behind his life’s story, the details deliver a message that white intellectuals have all but forgotten: the many-faceted importance of who your relatives are.

A racial group is a large extended family, and Obama’s book is primarily about his rejection of his supportive white maternal extended family in favor of his unknown black paternal extended family.

For the few willing to read all 442 pages, he offers important testimony about the enduring glamour of anti-white anger. It’s a bitter counterweight to the sunny hopes so widely invested in his candidacy as the man whose election as president would somehow help America finally “transcend race.”

In reality, Obama provides a disturbing test of the best-case scenario of whether America can indeed move beyond race. He inherited his father’s penetrating intelligence; was raised mostly by his loving liberal white grandparents in multiracial, laid-back Hawaii, where America’s normal race rules never applied; and received a superb private school education. And yet, at least through age 33 when he wrote Dreams from My Father, he found solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against his mother’s race.

Yes, this is about what I figured. A good, detailed look at Obama.

It confirms that he is deeply into black racism and hatred and resentment of whites, including his own mother. I imagine she must have been a very difficult person to like or admire, a real hippie princess, but that doesn’t mean that you can write off your mother—or the white grandparents who took on the thankless job of raising him and paid for his very select and expensive education.

One minor but, I think, very telling factoid: “The happy ending to Dreams is that Obama’s hard-drinking half-brother Roy—’Actually, now we call him Abongo, his Luo name, for two years ago he decided to reassert his African heritage’—converts to teetotaling Islam.”

So, he has a half-brother who converted—or reverted—to Islam. Yet another Islamic connection, and another indication of Muslim sympathies. Most worrisome, still, is his relationship with his cousin Odinga in Kenya, who is a Muslim fanatic connected with the Christian killings there.

The politician has elicited such fervor among many white voters that Slate.com’s Timothy Noah runs a regular feature entitled “The Obama Messiah Watch” quoting “gratuitously adoring” articles.

What if the gaga over Barack folks tried an old trick?.

Obama's observations on race - - this is the guy that claims he will bring Americans together.

From adolescence onward, Obama wanted a race to belong to, a team whose accomplishments would reflect well upon him. Of course, it was unthinkable in his liberal white family to take pride in the achievements of his mother’s race, so Obama gloried in being part of his absent father’s race.

From the age of ten onward, though, Obama desperately wants to be black: “I was trying to raise myself to be a black man in America, and beyond the given of my appearance, no one around me seemed to know exactly what that meant.” Honolulu’s paucity of African-Americans means he has to learn to be black from the media: “TV, movies, the radio; those were places to start. Pop culture was color-coded, after all, an arcade of images from which you could cop a walk, a talk, a step, a style.”

He cherishes every cause for complaint he can discern against white folks. He is constantly distressed at being half-white. Obama says he "ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of twelve or thirteen, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."

When his grandmother wants a ride to work because the day before, while awaiting the bus, she was threatened by a black panhandler, he is outraged -- at his grandparents.

Later, when he moves to the South Side of Chicago in 1984, he eventually discovers that, like his grandmother, he’s sometimes scared of black males on the street, too.

"There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

He added: "To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists."

Obama said he and other blacks were careful not to second-guess their own racial identity in front of whites.

"To admit our doubt and confusion to whites, to open up our psyches to general examination by those who had caused so much of the damage in the first place, seemed ludicrous, itself an expression of self-hatred," he wrote.

In the period from high school in Hawaii, to Columbia University and then to the streets of Chicago as a community organizer, Obama is the classic angry young black man, describing his world thusly:

"We were always playing on the white man's court -- by the white man's rules. If the principal, or the coach, or a teacher wanted to spit in your face, he could, because he had the power and you didn't. The only thing you could choose was withdrawal into a smaller and smaller coil of rage."

Obama’s once described the white race as “that ghostly figure that haunted black dreams.”

“That hate hadn't gone away,” he wrote, blaming “white people — some cruel, some ignorant, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.”

During college, Obama disapproved of what he called other "half-breeds" who gravitated toward whites instead of blacks. And yet after college, he once fell in love with a white woman, only to push her away when he concluded he would have to assimilate into her world, not the other way around. He later married a black woman.

In his memoir, "Dreams of My Father," Obama writes of a story in Life magazine that influenced him -- about a black man trying to bleach his skin white. No such article could be found in Life or Ebony.

Will Louis Farrakhan or Al Sharpton have a it down with him soon....or is it okay to bet that four years of the underprivileged Mexicans,Salvadorans, Japanese, Vietnamese, Persian, Irish, German( and all the rest for crying out loud) African American Chinese Palis, Jews and the definition of an"infidel" if he is muslim and refuses to be sworn in on a Holy Bible...it is more of a big deal then some people make it out to be. Forget his lovely speeches and read the content then ask yourself if what he is saying can be practically done, and can he lead it? Infidels, Islam, Christians, Jews? Good ?Evil? in the international ane home front he's going to have to made decisions a lot unfirtunately who will live or die for the GOOD OF THE NSYION, not just the good of this religion or that race. I wonder more that he's already made his decision than & quote;....as president would somehow help America finally,'transcend race,??'&quote; How far away is he transcending his own race and religion?

What I would fear is that Obama might not have fought through so much his "race" issues" and his being "raised muslim" the converted" so easily to Christianity where if he still live in Indonesia things may not have been so" safe" for him to announce his newly found alleged " Christian" beliefs. So why are the radical Imams and Mullahs so quiet or is this a good time to lie for the benefit of allah ? And again the picture that paints( to me anyway) of the jolks on a political platform with a raised hand over heart out of respect of the freedom of America( whether is was the Pledge or the Star Spangled banner) and Obama so recalcitrant as to bow his head, turn away from the flag covering his penis instead in a type of solidarity of what type of racism, what type of religion and what kind of tolerance especially when there is a war going on? If he has still not discovered who he is after years of drug abuse,Indonesian madrassas, the highest education in America( he's very smart) and still cannot find it in himself to carry on the freedoms...can he hear the echoing voices of dead American warriors slain in the midst of battle to make America free for One God, One Country, One Freedom, with Liberty and Justice for ALL

I'm not voting for him because I wonder what may happen if he doesn't stand like a rock for core American value's when he sits beside the Arab nations in Opec meetings, when hi visits our allies on Israel, when he sees the slaughter of muslims blowing themselves up as martys to spead the words of Muhammed in so many nations to induce an produce Islam and the holy Qur'an while he still has no idea what it means to be a follower of Christ? or allah? I do not believe America will have much time for transition between presidents this upcoming election....and tossing a young man like him into the international fray with the while with the "keys" tagging along with a suitcase so close to him, or Hillary, same scenario, or a few other politicians....we need a stable president getting passed the baton and take off running for there will be little time to ponder race and religion and dysfunctional family lifestyles...someone is going to have to LEAD 300 million people and make US content we voted the correct man or woman. I like Obama as a person, like his speeches but I do not think he has the leadership capability's to make a decision with our military and as one of our military men so aptly put it from the McCain camp," Obama doesn't know the difference between an RPG and a bong."

Some Conservative author, like Anne Coulter, needs to write a book about Obama with a title like:

"Barrack Hussein Obama: The Making of a Fascist"

Obama is an angry Black man who covers himself with jingoistic phraseology, loaded into his evangelical live dialogue, delivered to audioences who become mesmerized with his schtick. OMG its the "Mandingo effect!" Thanks but No thanks!

It seems Italy and Germany has seen the likes of Obama before, as now many American women swoon in Obama's audiences. They had names like Il Duce and Der Fuher.

And the shattering fact is that Obama has already become assciated with Islamofascists poltically, campaigning for his cousin Odinga in August of 2006, and advsiing Odinga as his fellow Luo tribesmen rape, murder and maim Kikuyu tribespeople in Nairobi. This fact has been neatly ignored by the MSM. Obama is not an American. No genuine presidential candidate would associate with a political movement that burns a church full of Christians, as happened last week in Nairobi. Obama does.
