The current system favors the receivers way too much. Receiver has it in his hands and drops it - QBs fault, receiver broke off his route - QBs fault, receiver not quite where he should be - QBs fault, receiver starts running before he has control of the ball - QBs fault.

I understand that catching a football isn’t that easy or that uncalled PIs etc. can have an effect but none of those things are the QBs fault either.

I am a die-hard Dallas fan, so I am a little biased, but I agree with TO. They lost as a team, not because Romo did not pull off another miracle at the end of the game. I remember at least 4 dropped balls that should have been caught - two by Patrick Crayton. The penalties were inexcusable. Dallas was taking control of the game in the second quarter when the defense paid so soft that the Giants were able to get a TD before the half which gave them new life and the momentum. If Dallas was up 7 at the half and had scored another TD at the beginning of the third quarter, the outcome would have been very different.

I am trying to be philosophical about it. I'd rather have had them lose yesterday than get to the SB and get killed by NE. The way the Pats were playing Saturday night, nobody is going to beat them. Let Brett Farve play in another SB. Romo will have his day. He has only been a starter for less than a year. Eli has been a starter for 4 years and nobody was writing him off because he did not win a playoff game until last week. Romo has at least had the opportunity to win the game in the last few minutes for two years in a row! A lot of QBs never even get to do that!
