Hillary's Pro-Active Political Jiu-Jitsu

Hillary is playing with fire on the race issue. What ground she gained by playing the gender card while denying it, she might lose by playing the race card while denying it.

There is no principle the Clintons pretend to stand for that they will not abandon in pursuit of political power -- power they insist they need to advance those abandon-able principles. So it is with the issue of race.

Until recently, Hillary had employed essentially a two-pronged strategy in her presidential primary campaign. The first was to depict her main opponent, Barack Obama, as an eloquent and gifted speaker but also as a candidate with no experience, no record, no substance and no plan to match his lofty rhetoric. The second, developed out of desperation to staunch her post-Iowa bleeding, was to play the gender card by appealing to women voters through showing her supposedly vulnerable, "human" side.

Now, she has also invoked the race issue, something only a liberal or Democratic candidate would even think about doing. First, she trotted out a well-known African American, Robert L. Johnson, the founder of Black Entertainment Television, to make an unmistakable yet deniable allusion to Obama's self-admitted youthful experimentation with drugs.

Yup.

She’s also trying to get Obama to respond. They desperately need “Hillary as Victim” to get her over the finish line. They’ll do anything to make the story into “Hillary attacked by black man”.

It’s hideous.

Obama is playing it smart. His voters are slowly becoming upset as he shrugs it off with only “thats unfortunate” comments. Clinton inc. is just tearing itself up by upsetting Obama’s voters. Hopefully, they’ll get outraged before this is over.

As much as I wouldn’t want Obama as the next President, he simply just isn’t qualified even aside from his personal beliefs, I wonder what price tag I wouldn’t pay to see her melt down. I don’t know if the meltdown would be greater if she didn’t get the nomination from the Dems or to get the nomination and lose the Presidential election. That would be a blockbuster Pay-Per-View. Hopefully it’ll happen live TV in front of all the sheeple.

Very good! I assume your phonetically implied double meaning was intended.

I find the irony delicious that a liberal who (along with her husband) has often played the race card is now finding herself painted with the same brush. Although in her case, I personally think she is a racist. As long as they stay on the plantation she loves her little dependents. But let them get uppity and leave it without her permission, well she just ain't gonna permit that kind of disrespectful behavior. Don't they know who they is beholden to?

Though I wonder why her current remarks should be considered offensive while not long ago she gets up (was it at a church?) and does an insulting shuck and jive routine which seemed to embarrass or offend no one in the audience.

It may be that a certain select portion of her voting constituency has forgotten its place.
