“I see, so you were being dishonest to imply that he was not authentically a hunter and outdoorsman.” No I am saying he is a fake who will say or do anything to get one more vote. He is in public life for what he can milk out of it and not to serve the greater good. Just as him being a minister is nothing more than an attempt to fool God fearing people to vote for him. I mention him and the clintons together because in all things important he is no better than them.

I just sent the Whitetail institute an email telling them I will never buy their products again. DUMB move on their part! Here is one sentence from my email

“So why would the whitetail institute come out and insult at least 2 thirds of it’s clients? I mean there must be a lot of Rudy, Mitt, McCain, Hunter and Fred supports (not to mention the democrats) out there that buy whitetail institute products and YOU”VE INSULTED ALL OF THEM.”

Believes in being soft on criminals.
Raises taxes.
Panders to illegals and gives them tax money.
Believes corporations are eeeeeeeevil, and government fixes everything.
Thinks that telling us what to smoke and what to eat is good government policy.

Nope, no liberal there.

>>”I also hear he has received the endorsement of the Elk Club of Boise too.

I mean seriously people why is this news?”<<

Got those “Nobody But Thompson” blinders on again, don’t you?

In spite of all the nonsense spouted in here about Huckabee and hunting, he’s clearly a sportsman and is sincere about protecting our Second Amendment rights (as interpreted by true conservatives.)

Funny, I recall a time when that actually would have meant something in this forum, but apparently no more. I’m more sure of Huckabee on gun rights than of any other candidate including Thompson. Are you all really so sure that Thompson’s trial lawyer buddies wouldn’t talk him into allowing lawsuits against gun manufacturers because the big bad gun killed someone and it never would have happened if it hadn’t been for the big bad gun manufacturers? Probably wouldn’t happen, I’ll concede that, but I’m certain with Huckabee.

So, when a well-known sportsman says he feels that way too, it’s news all right. And it will help Huckabee with hunters and fishermen across the country. By the way, Michigan has a lot of them, as does South Carolina.

Protest all you want, but fideast pretty much pinned you down. You’ll say whatever you want and will make up anything you need to support your case apparently. As in your line above “He is a fake who will say or do anything to get one more vote.” Not provable, by a long shot. He’s right, your credibility is approaching zero.

Then if I was you I would hurry up and give the liar your money. If you have any left after you reach the max amount find someone you can give a loan to so they can give what you have left.

Just a hunch, but I’m betting that losing your business won’t cost them much, if anything at all.

As for the rest of the real sportsmen out there, most of them will appreciate hearing the point of view of someone they respect for his other accomplishments. It might not affect their vote at all, but they don’t get their underwear in a bundle over stuff like this.

This misdirection is the best you’ve got? Boy, fideast really did knock the stuffing out of you, didn’t he?

Why don’t you tell me your supporting evidence for the statement you made about Huckabee saying whatever he needed to say to get a vote instead? Or don’t you have any? Because I’ve sure heard him say plenty that indicates he’s willing to forgo a vote if it means changing his position on an issue.

Then by all means push him to the top. Just be sure to practice saying Madame President.

If you can’t see through the hucksters BS then nothing I point out would ever change your mind.

I’m quite capable of seeing through BS. I get so much practice at it in here lately.

Let’s take Thompson. Will he beat Clinton? You know what the average person who doesn’t follow politics on a daily basis says when they see Thompson? Geez, does he look old! Great start, don’t you think? And they’re serious by the way. They think he just doesn’t look up to the job physically. It would be a serious handicap in the general election. By the way, I like Thompson....he’s proving to be incapable of getting the nomination, however, which should give us some idea how he’d do in the general.

McCain? Same rap, plus most of the Republican party will be against him. Doesn’t mean he won’t get nominated though, especially if people keep tearing down the better candidates. And you know that he really IS liberal in many respects.

Romney? Looks presidential. We’d better get our act together or we’ll be saddled with him. You think Huckabee is liberal? Wait until you see what Romney does once in office. One things sure, it won’t be what he said, or wait, it will be what he said, because he’s been on both sides of the issues.

Huckabee is the ONLY Republican candidate who actually can, and will, beat either Clinton or Obama because once he’s got the floor, the average person listens to him and likes what he’s got to say. The Evangelical vote alone would not be enough to get him where he is today, one of the top three candidates, or top four if Giuliani’s strategy doesn’t blow up in his face. He’s done this without the support of the Republican establishment and it’s driving them crazy, Rush included. Going to be a fascinating year.
