AIDS Patients Face Downside of Living Longer (effects of AIDS drugs "worse than having AIDS")
New York Times ^ | January 6, 2008 | JANE GROSS

Those explanations do not satisfy Larry Kramer, founder of several AIDS advocacy groups. Mr. Kramer, 73 and a long-term survivor, said he had always suspected “it was only a matter of time before stuff like this happened” given the potency of the antiretroviral drugs. “How long will the human body be able to tolerate that constant bombardment?” he asked. “Well, we are now seeing that many bodies can’t. Once again, just as we thought we were out of the woods, sort of, we have good reason again to be really scared.”

Ok,
I’m confused....
MOST of the clients I see and deal with are drug abusers/mentally ill/MR/DD-— Which means they are just pure pitiful and have done stupid, pitiful things, usually involving drugs and sometimes sex (as in prostitution or just being stupid).

And I also see the children of the above who’ve developed HIV.

Granted, that’s the pattern I see.

Recently I visited India, South Korea, and China where all the researchers had recently undergone new brain chip implants by the "AIDS establishment" to stop them from thinking independent thoughts.

Fortunately though, the "AIDS establishment's" new chip is only about half as effective as the chip Oprah has been implanting in housewives around the United States.

Sounds like the chips were made in China, and the software and tech support outsourced to India.

The “War on AIDS” has been a complete failure.

You mean like the 'War on Poverty'?

I guess I’m not understanding your question.....

What is it I said that I guess I need to clarify?

If you wish to remain ignorant about the science of this controversy that’s your business. But then you should also do the honest thing and stop pretending you understand what you are so loudly protesting against.

I think I understand propaganda well enough.

I think you are right. Whereas Oprah's mind control chips are manufactured in Alabama by highly productive non-union labor.

Sorry,
I have a cold myself....
I guess I was saying that most of the HIV/AID’s folks I see are drug abusers first, sexually funkified second.

I think I’m agreeing (if not, just move along :) )

From a quick read (I’ll reread it) of your post...I am in agreement with your statements regarding HIV/AIDS exposure, transmission, infection, and spread pattern.

Now I'm confused. HIV is a virus. You have it or you don't. AIDS is immune deficiency and any of the various diseases that attack people whose immune system is not up to par.

AIDS can take years to develop, even decades.

My understanding of AIDS comes more from a long time ago. The foundation of that understanding is based on my reading of texts, laboratory test results, as well as first-hand information from a nationally well-known doctor in the field.

My understanding that HIV is spread through fluids and OTHERS means. My understanding is that those other means do not negate the spread via bodily fluids. My understanding is that is can ALSO be spread through coughing....and can be air borne. This type of transmission has nothing to do with drug usage or even sexual contact.

We’ve had kids whose parents were IV drug abusers who got it from them (assuming at birth).

Precisely. In fact, and just like the War on Poverty, the War on AIDS made the AIDS-toll worse.

I’ve never seen anyone who got it via airborne contact. Everyone I’ve dealt with got it in a pretty straight forward manner....as in they know how they got it and we knew now they got it. Most of the ones we work with are a combo of MI/polysubstance abusers/MR and risky sexual behaviors.

My work is with nutrition, keeping their weight up, dealing with food issues, thrush, tube feedings etc.... And I’ve been coughed, sneezed and barfed on.... Me, with not one nice compassionate bone in my body! (ick)

I don’t have it....

Though a friend DID give me this head cold. :(

They do, in various ways I guess.
The ones I work with....
Some get money in various ways-— welfare checks, stealing, some prostitute themselves, some get money from family, some have family/friends that share their stuff, most live a pretty hand to mouth existence....most of them have IQ’s in double digits, hear voices and are very very sad.

Because of them, I now at night say a thank you for a roof, a bed and brain to be thankful for a roof and a bed.

I guess what I’m trying to say is I see something different in my minds eye when folks talk of HIV/AIDS.

HIV is a virus. You have it or you don't. AIDS is immune deficiency and any of the various diseases that attack people whose immune system is not up to par. AIDS can take years to develop, even decades.

My information on this is dated. But a Dr. William O'Connor, who testified before Congress many years ago stated that the latency period can be up to 34 months (3 years)....I don't know if that information has subsequently changed (this statement was made back in 1988).

Dr. O'Connor cited these reports back then:

CDC. (1986). "Apparent transmission of HTLV-III/LAV from a child to a mother providing health care." Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, 35:76-79.

We had an 8 y/o this summer who was underweight— both parents IV drug users-— Dad dead, mother dying....so she was in foster care.

She was HIV positive and grieving so much she wouldn’t eat and she weighed about 45 pounds.

I don’t know about the stats, I just know how it felt to sit next to her.

Concerning coughing or sneezing:

Dr. John Seale, a British AIDS researcher stated, "If an AIDS virus is inhaled into the lung it is engulfed by an amoeba-like macrophage from the lining of the alveoli (air sacs). It has been shown repeatedly in the laboratory that the AIDS virus readily infects macrophages, and the virus replicates within them, thereby enabling infection of people initiated by this route."1

Dr. Lorraine Day has stated: "The virus can stay alive and infective in the air 20 inches away from the rotating drill bit in what looks like clear air...that is the distance from a surgeon's hand while he is working, to his mouth and nose. Live virus is being breathed routinely during surgery."2

Very sad. (She must have looked more than emaciated at 45 pounds!) Have you seen hear at all since the summer or found out how she’s doing?
