His answer was great until the end, when he still said it was government’s job to fund research to solve people’s problems — he simply wanted to be fiscally responsible about doing so.
Not that any other candidates are looking to stop government from trying to solve all our problems — far from it. Just that as the man most connected with limited-government principles and federalism, and the way he started answering, one could hope for a different end.
I agree, I liked what he said until the final paragraph, then he went all socialist on us.
