McCain's "victory" is within the margin of error.

McCain does well there because he is a liberal.

Voting for McCain in the primary because he might possibly on a long shot carry Oregon is idiocy.

Oregon is not a deep blue state. Bush only lost it by a few point in 2004, and by a few thousand votes in 2000.

You can call McCain a liberal if you like - I won’t argue your opinion. But when candidates are losing by 15-20 points in a state that the GOP normally loses by 2-4 that should tell you something.
