Since then, the males stay home in safety and they only send women and prepubescent boys on the road for their demonstrations.
And given that Phelpsian "Church" demonstrations are always accompanied by police coverage, that means the police officers who were present also denied having seen anything. Maybe they closed their eyes just as the first arm was pulled back in preparation for delivering a punch, so they could technically be telling the truth.
