The Earth is several billion years old. "Records" go back only a couple hundred years. Accurate records go back 50? years. The last 50 years out of four billion ... yeah, that makes it easy to spot a trend.

I wish there was a push to increase funding for accurately measuring the earths temperature. I suspect that stuff vastly beyond our control causes the massive shifts in the earths weather (ie. ice ages), but it wouldn't hurt to get a better read on this. I don't want to accelerate a coming ice age nor to turn Earth into a desert planet. The records we have are poor and it is clear that the data we are recording RIGHT NOW in the 21st century are in many cases tainted. Before spending trillions on fixing a problem that may not even exist, why aren't we budgeting more money to make the measurements?

Or does that sound too reasonable?

More government spending? Nah, just execute the Gorons to solve the problem.
