He got 16 years.
He needs to learn how to apply his lipstick a little better.
Is this a penthouse apartment? Did he live there with his family?
Gasp! You mean....they put panties on his head? The horror!
Now he's in real trouble. The YouTube people are gonna sue him for sure.
16 yrs in Prison so the article says anyway...
Not sure Claiming diplomatic immunity would be at all bright in this situation, it would then make the matter a Naional Moroccan Issue, and I am sure the Moroccan Gov. does not want ANY part of this!
imho
Diplomatic immunity would not be automatically conferred on a college age son or daughter of a diplomat. A minor child is different, because there’s a reasonable presumption that parents are expected to have their minor children living them, and also to exert some control over them. It’s quite likely that this young man did not have a diplomatic passport.
At any rate, diplomatic immunity is a right that belongs to a diplomat’s home country, not to the diplomat him/herself, and the home country can waive diplomatic immunity any time it chooses to. In a case where the person’s activities are clearly criminal under the laws of both the home country and the country where the crime was committed, they often do. This happened about 10 years ago in the case of Georgian diplomat serving in Washington, who killed a teenage girl while driving drunk — the Georgian government was not interested in protecting him from prosecution under the US legal system and agreed to waive his immunity. He was convicted and served 3 years of his sentence in US prison before being sent home to serve the rest of it in a Georgian prison.

Also very unlikely that the stupid young man would WANT to face the Moroccan courts and correctional system.
No, this terrorist was arrested in 2005 long before I began my campaign to shut down terrorist websites and forums.
If you can glean some clues from the story, the “kid” is an adult, as defined under British law, and is not living at home with parents. Possibly the kid has his own visa unrelated to the father and therefore has not diplomatic cover.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
“He studied IT at a college in central London and was quickly radicalised by images of the war in Iraq posted on the internet. “
As usual, they find some way to blame the US for all this. I want details on what mosques he attended in London. Who were his “spiritual leaders”.
It appears that he was subject to some unusually soiled panties..
Such lovely people.

You know, I have never tried to invade your privacy by asking where you were born, or lived, or your religion.
In reading your posts over the past year, I have assumed you could have been raised in some Middle Eastern country, and moved here. You may or may not be a naturalized citizen, and again, that is none of my business.
BUT, as I look around me, in my state, on the internet, in the news, you are more of an AMERICAN than many ‘natural born citizens’.
Most people would find translating captured documents from the Middle East to be a big enough challenge.
That you then push further on, and help ID terrorist websites and shut them down, should put you in the category of National Hero.
Whether anyone else ever acknowledges that, you are a HERO to me.
That's got to be the mostest amountest of material ever!
global jihad bump
What I am doing in terms of monitoring terrorist websites and forums is the least that I can do in times of war. No matter what I do, including sacrificing my life, will not be enough to pay the great and eternal debt that I owe to the greatest nation in history of mankind: The United States of America.
God bless our brave troops. God bless America.
