(It depends upon the meaning of amnesty.)
It ain't amnesty if the "undocumented guest" has to say "Lo siento".
Honestly, the guy's as bad as Romney or Giuliani in this regard, and in my estimation, he's a worse candidate because of his "populism", i.e., identity politics, class warfare statements, etc.
Huckster says:
"Mike Huckabee says that he is going to get tough on illegal immigrants."
Huckster actions:

Mike Huckabee Supported Bill to Give Driver's Licenses to Illegal Aliens
Huckabee Rents to Mexican Consul for $1.

For links to the articles mentioned above, see my profile page. Anyone who thinks for even a second that the Huckster is going to do anything other than welcome invading illegal aliens into America with wide open arms and pockets full of goverment benefits is either woefully gullible or spinning for the Huck.
“and in Huckster’s case, it’s essentially saying “ignore what I did as governor, I’ll do something else completely different as President”.”
What was that guys name in Popeye. The one who always said, “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday”....He even looks like Huck!
Wow. What huge and monumental flipflop from his position two months ago.
PING for later debunking of Huck’s pro-amnesty record.
MUST READ POST. You nailed the Huckster but good.
Huckster was also in favor of the amnesty for illegals bill in the Senate. I will dig up the quote.
Wow — did Huckabee explicitly claim that he and Krikorian worked together on the immigration policy?
This sounds like Huckabee’s claim that John Bolton agreed to work with him on foreign policy. Bolton then said that he hadn’t even spoken to Huckabee at that point, and was not advising anyone.

Huck, explicit? No, it was more like a heavy implication. I’ll look for it.
Here ya go.

“He might not mind Huckabee lifting parts of his plan, but he’s overlooking this:
“I have created a nine point immigration policy that says there is a 120 day period in which people go to their home country and start the process from the back of the line.”
—Mike Huckabee, Republican Debate, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Jan. 10, 2008.
This isn’t coming from a Romney campaign release; this is the Washington Post”
Follow the second link to this quote:
“When the campaign announced the governor’s nine-point immigration plan on Dec. 6, it noted that it was “partially modeled” on Krikorian’s proposal three years earlier. But Huckabee took credit for the plan in the Republican debate on Thursday night, and Mitt Romney’s campaign is crying foul. A Romney “Fact Check” said that the Huckabee plan had lifted “whole sections of Krikorian’s editorial without quotes or direct attribution.”
Thanks, AuntB!
