I said really? I know the names and residences of at least thirty neighbors, may I come vote thirty more times with this process? We need to stop the attempts to steal the vote with fraud, and no proper ID when voting is ripe territory to have fraud go wild in.

A woman from Cape Cod called into the Howie Carr show today as I was driving home. Her neighbor at her vacation home in Maine had called her and asked why she didn't let him know they had been up there recently. When she replied that they hadn't, the neighbor informed her that he had seen her name checked off as having voted on primary day. They live on a short street, and he saw her name (as well as her husband's) next to his when he gave his name to the attendant. Not only did this couple not vote in the Maine primary, they weren't even registered in Maine! Apparently they are now.

One guess which ballot was taken, according to the neighbor.

Irritatingly, Howie seemed to find the story amusing...I was swearing out loud in my car. The woman said she was going to call the town clerk. I would make a personal visit and then file a complaint at a state level.

People worry about software corruption with the touchscreen machines, but the easiest way to cheat is for the election judges to “vote” for people still on the rolls. It took me two years to get my (deceased) father’s name removed in Baltimore city, which has practically a 10 to 1 dem to republican registration.

It is almost impossible to get Republican judges to work in MANY of the precincts. So unscrupulous judges can cast ballot after ballot if no other judges in the vicinity object.
