To: A CA Guy
The last California election I offered my ID and they refused to ID me. Told me they would get in trouble if they identified me. Told me that me knowing my address and name was enough.

Yes, the same in Florida. Oh, you had to show that you had it but when I tried to hold it close enough so that the retiree working the poll could actually read it, they acted like I was holding out a snake or something. And it wasn't because turnout was heavy or anything. I guess the fact that you have to show something would hold down fraud but it would be an interesting experiment to hold out your spouse's id and see if they'd notice.

I was F’ing pissed off.

Some poll workers kind of agreed when I said this could cause lots of fraud.
Some poll workers looked aggravated by what I said.
One could easily guess which were the conservatives and which were the liberals.
