Maybe instead of calling it HIJACKING, we should call them CHAMELEON threads.

And this debate should be in the religious forum. The person who posted the thread initiated the thread by calling for prayers for a dead tiger.
I am responding to the original poster's first comment at the beginning of the thread.

It was RedinBluePA who first brought God into the discussion.

And with the looser Geragos at the helm, we probably never will again. I'm not sure why Geragos wouldn't work that angle if he is representing the Dhaliwals.
Any misconduct by zoo employees would be something he would be laser focused on, I would imagine.

First off, the poor tiger was, if not insane, definitely a stressed animal. Their first clue was it eating the girl's arm off the year before. That kind of animal should be sent to a rescue facility where there are expert handlers who know how to keep it.
Tigers do not like crowds or noise. In the wild they are solitary shy creatures.
On the other hand, it appears those boys may have been tormenting it if slingshots were indeed found on them, and there is no excuse for that. However, to lose one's life over it is a terrible terrible tragedy. The zoo was at fault, as it didn't protect the visitors.

How is taking the side of the two mauled young men over the side of some dead tiger and some swishy San Francisco zoo “thread-hyjacking?”

Are they related to the two jerks in the Natalie Halloway case in Aruba? No, but the press and the San Francisco zoo would like you to think so.

Had you made comments that UCANSEE2 deeply agreed with on any topic, there would be no perceived "thread hijacking."

I’ll back off my previous post, and say, if it is true what they did - they had it coming.

The tiger was being a tiger who weas being abused. While I have no prayers for the tiger, those “boys” brought this upon themselves, and I have no sympahy for their cruel little heart, abusing a caged animal.
You don’t mess with a tiger...unless you’re a Darwin Award Level dumbass.

I do, it’s called common sense, something you obviously don’t have. To make a statement like that with such absolution is unbelievably “lame” , not to mention arrogant.
To: wideawake
I can’t speak for UCANSEE2, but some of these arguments really were totally off-topic. And I was as guilty as anyone. Maybe I should just avoid these tiger threads—seems most of them end up this way.

I usually really enjoy your posts and have followed them for years.
On this topic, we disagree. Unlike you, I do not consider any human being of less value than a rat.
