The information that Leahy revealed had been used in the operation to capture the Arab terrorists who had hijacked the Achille Lauro cruise ship and killed American citizens ...
and the Union-Tribune claimed that Leahy's indiscretion may have cost the life of at least one of the Egyptian operatives involved in that operation.

When did it start? How did it come to this? Was it the Clinton years? The NEA? The media? The drugs of the 60s, 70s and 80s? And 90s, for that matter?
I think it started with the 60s and the decline of public education and was exacerbated by the rise of the 24-hour media, the worship of celebrity culture, and the trashing of the USA by our so-called elite institutions.
Another poison pill for the Obama campaign. At least Nader endorsed Edwards, so he doesn’t have to worry about dodging that kyryptonite. But still - how many useless old hacks are going to support Obama? These people were already useless (Kerry, Leaky Leahy, etc.) are they gambling on an Obama presidency restoring their prestige if they back him?
After I received that email that has been circulating about Obama being a Muslim (the one that caused the Obama camp to get in such a stir- that they couldn’t track down), I decided to do some research to see how much truth there was to it. I found many sites with pertinent information containing links to back it up.

One of the most amazing things I found was that most of the telling information comes from his own books. It’s all there- the admiration for Islam and the disdain for the white race- but nobody has/will call him on it.
If you read the articles, the remarks from his books are very, very disturbing. Not content to take the article at its word, I checked out Obama’s books from the library and read them. The remarks are there- and they are NOT taken out of context.

He is so pro-abortion that he refused as an Illinois state senator to support legislation to protect babies who survived late-term abortions. In a cold blooded speech, he refused to concede that these babies were “persons’- even though they were fully outside their mother’s wombs with their hearts beating and their lungs heaving. On the Illinois Senate floor, Obama was the only senator to speak against the baby-protecting bills. He voted “present” on each, effectively the same as a “no.”

I am trying to get the message out to a naive public who are jumping on the “black JFK”, “change”, “take back America” bandwagon, without questioning who this man is and questioning his past, his present associates and backers and his agenda.
Leahy probably saw that photo of Obama making the “urinal gesture” with his hands instead of putting his hand over his heart while the national anthem was being played, and decided “that’s my man.”
Hillary is making a list.
