My nephew is a Doctor. He was offered a partnership in a medical office in San Antonio, but he and his wife refused it because of such situations. Perhaps he will reconsider after this action by the Council, but after Oklahoma passed their very restrictive law affecting illegals, our illegals are leaving for other areas—including San Antonio, unfortunately.

Has alway been a dirty little military town, a stop off on the way to Laredo today. When I was there years ago, I went down to see the Alamo. Walked around it four times looking for it, what a disappointment, but I was hit on by a couple of hookers on main street and found that interesting.

My brother and his housing contractor friend in the resort areas of the NC mountains have made mention that illegals have cut their prices even more which has seriously hurt their livelihoods. Some illegals are now working for $6 /hr from what they’ve said, however, the quality of their work (the illegals) is so shabby, many buyer’s do not have a clue as to the structural and cosmetic problems that lie ahead in their ‘deal’ homes in the steep slopes and harsh environment.
