A similar smear on Christian conservatives took place recently at the U.S. Central Command, a place Pentagon officials say is dominated by Arabists who do not understand Islamist ideology and who have thoroughly confused commanding generals there on the nature of the terrorist threat.

I guess more than we ever realized, inside the highest level of the military it's O.K. to openly disparage with complete impunity those who disagree with as "christian zealots" and poor and uneducated?

No wonder the MSM has not covered this event.

It was one colonel that said this; not a major event. That said I find it amusing that people are such sheep that they buy into a media’s portrayal of Christians as “uneducated and easily led.” When you talk to a believing Christian who takes his or her faith seriously enough to read the Bible, commentary, theology, apologetics and the like, you are slamming into thousands of years of thought, tested by experience, and inspired by God. To try to portray believers into simpletons classes Isaac Newton, Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, Dostoevsky, Chesterton, Pascal, Galileo, Leibniz, and literally millions of intellectual lights into a group now declared ignorant.

Also, in the area of Islamic terrorism and fascism, if there is a tendency to exclude Christians from the intelligence and policy making exercise (which I doubt there is but IF) then they are excluding those who from direct and personal experience can understand some of what the Islamic terrorist leaders do (and how they misuse religion) in order to manipulate their “flock.” Faith is a class of experience that is unique and can’t fully be understood by a wholly secular person in my experience.

“Pentagon aide Hasham Islam remains a key adviser on Muslim affairs to Mr. England and faced no punishment or even criticism for recently calling Joint Staff counterterrorism analyst Stephen Coughlin a “Christian zealot with a pen” because of his views on the linkage between Islamic law and terrorism.

The confrontation in a meeting several weeks ago led to Mr. Coughlin’s firing. The Pentagon spin is that ending Mr. Coughlin’s contract had nothing to do with Mr. Islam but was due to an expensive contract that was cut off. Other officials said any review of Joint Staff contracting would explode that reason as a myth.

This nonsense needs to be exposed, shouted from the rooftops. When this sort of thing is happening in the Pentagon it should tell us just how pervasive this liberal jihad against western culture and values has become. Political correctness is eating us alive!!!

“Other officials said any review of Joint Staff contracting would explode that reason as a myth.”

Appears that there is no unanimity on the Joint Staff or on their position as to why he was terminated.

Quote Bob Woodward: “It’s not the crime, it’s the coverup.”
