Walk down Broad Street and you pass by a brown mansion, squeezed in between a music store and a Banana Republic. With its statues of proud soldiers in front, the Union League stands as a symbol of the sacrifices necessary to win the Civil War.

After being sued by convicted terrorist Jose Padilla, I wonder whether our nation today has the same unity and tenacity to defeat the great security challenge of our day, the rise of fundamentalist Islamic terrorism. Even as our brave young soldiers fight in Afghanistan and Iraq, and our intelligence agents succeed in disrupting follow-ups to the 9/11 attacks, terrorists are using our own legal system as a weapon against us.

This is what you get after 40 years of “We are a nation of laws”. We are a nation of the people, who SUBMIT to the lawful government of our nation. We are in danger of becoming a Euro-republic, ruled by our inferiors.

I believe that there are two factions at play. The Communists and the Islamists. In the middle is God and Democracy. In order for either faction to rule the world democracy and the human spirit has to be destroyed. Which means America has to be destroyed as a Democracy.

People like Reid, Pelosi, Clinton and we are starting to find out moderate Republicans are only concerned with the money and power they obtain and are willing to sell out this country to obtain it.

I have come to the realization that the politicians in this country are not Communists. They are prostitutes, just common criminals looking to profit and the lobbyists are their pimps.

They belong in prison.

I know I have posted this before but everyday countries are moving in this direction.

Stage 1:
Start immigrating - move into a country quietly

Stage 2:
Begin starting churches: “learning centers” community helps: food etc.

Stage 3:
Political activism: demanding rights, denounce derogatory comments/press etc.

Stage 4:
Get elected, pass laws favoring rights etc. move toward political majority

Stage 5:
Political control, Sharia Law

“And the citizens are the johns receiving the golden shower.”

Problem is they piss down our backs and tell us it is raining. And we believe them.

That’s the shame.

My prediction: 50 years from now, maybe sooner if the democrats are in control. Most likely another civil war breaks out around that time too unless Americans live in complete fear of the islamists running the country.

Anyone have any ideas what the new name of this country will be?

I've been in the Union League. In an upstairs room off the main banquet hall is a drawing room decorated with huge portraits of a number of presidents. They aren't copies. They're the real thing, and I've never seen anything like them. There's a near-life-size portrait of Ronald Reagan that would take your breath away. He appears to be walking right toward you, with one hand extended in greeting, ready to shake your hand, with that famous smile captured to perfection.

There's a portrait of Lincoln, made from an angle I've never seen. And in this portrait, Lincoln looks young. Not youthful, but young, and troubled.

There is no portrait of any Democrat president displayed there. An oversight, no doubt.
