WASHINGTON - U.S. Capitol Police arrested a man carrying a rifle outside the Capitol building Friday, authorities said.
The man was in custody and no one was injured, police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider.
An officer first spotted the man near Union Station, about two blocks from the Capitol. A car belonging to the suspect was being searched.
That camper top looks custom - I’d check it out...

A whole real gun, being openly carried, IN AMERICA? Good thing the authorities were there to put a stop to such madness.

I thought the DC gun case was about handguns.
If he had a trigger lock and the shotgun was unloaded, he didn’t break any gun laws.
Of course, he did show a little disrespect for the DC Police State, so they’ve gotta make him pay for that!

I’ve been waiting for a wire update on this one, they had a brief press conference, no name or anything yet, so we have a single individual, shotgun in hand, bow and arrow and sumarai sword attached to him as well, pickup truck with shell being checked out now, had heard a report of positive hit for explosives ,, not sure if on him or truck..

Yup, and everything is an “assault weapon” and “automatic” (at least as far as the mediots are concerned).

Now is this explosives as in, “He had some shotgun shells in the bed of his truck”? Or is this the, “The whole thing is rigged with C4, Run!” kind of explosives?

In other news, ABC's new reality show "RINO hunting with Ted Nugent" has been canceled during the filming of the first episode.
My father required his students to carry a gun to school--he was the rifle team coach, and so they'd carry it on the bus. Even students not on the team would carry their guns to school to work on them in shop.
I recall my cousin talking with a teenager about what it was like in school back in the "old days"... and something came up about "you'd take out your pocket knife..."
I don't know who was more surprised--the kid, at the idea that someone would carry a knife to school--or my cousin--who was astonished that any boy would go to school without his pocket knife!

I smell a rat.
