I remember one winter at school in Columbia, there was a sprinkling of snowd...all the FL kids who had never seen snow were on the ground wallowing around in it.

$20 most people don't have a clue what a roof rake is.

Older folks don't like unfamiliar driving in snow. They stay home and watch TV with an afghan around their legs.

I remember years ago when Atlanta, Georgia was hit by a freak ice storm. The city was virtually shut down for two days. Accident galore because the sothren home folks didn't know how to handle slickness on the roads all that well.

I know because my late mom was on the road from Illinois to Florida to visit me and she had to hole up in a jammed Atlanta motel for three nights. She and other affected travelers whiled the time away by playing pinochle in the lobby.

I don't know who seniors in SC would be voting for in general today, so I don't know who it would hurt or help by them staying home in droves. The turnout is already being reported as light. The seniors like to vote by 1:00 PM. They are the single biggest voting block by age.

Hoping this helps Fred. Demographics show that 54% of SC voters claim they are Southern Baptist. The oldie goldies SBs may prefer the Huckster.
