If current exit polls are right he will certainly carry a share of the blame, but he also had almost a complete media shut-out. No amount of fire-in-the-belly could have worked to offset the tremendous media bias (largely from FOX, not surprising to those of us who’ve observed the FNCs recent coziness with certain candidates from New York).
If Fred doesn’t win SC, I am done with FOX (going back to playing PS2) they have been so bias against him, all day long it was MCLAME, MCLAME, MCLAME... I HATE MACLAME and will never ever vote for him.

Yeah, this media crap is making me scream. It isn’t their job to choose for us and choose whom to shut out or to cover. I’m sick about how this is all going down. I think it is a broken system.
