There is a tendency by the U.N. and others to ignore anything the Palestinians do to upset the peace, because they’re seen as the “victim”. Victimhood has been used throughout history to justify evil acts, from Nazi death camps to Communist purges. Israel, having more power and success (not to mention Jews), are always looked on as the oppressors, even though over and over the Palestinians have demonstrated their desire to see them all wiped out.
