The question is this:

Has the demoncrap party shifted so far to the left that the republicans can win without the conservatives? I.E can the republicans form a moderate/centrist party? This strategy has never worked historically. Politcal action requires energy, moderation by default is low energy.

The east coast check pant Republicans have a theory that most republicans are middle of the road types, embarassed by conservatives.

Face it we FR types, conservatives, are the RINO's now, the us equivalent of the brit torries. Just think, I don't have to give campaign donations any more to the republicrats.

No, the Republicans still can't win without the conservatives.

However, since the people that you call "conservatives" are 15% of the Republican electorate AT MOST, they cannot nominate or elect one of their own, under any circumstances.

We've seen that they can prevent the election of any center-right candidate they choose.

What else can they do? Not much.
