An article in the Columbus Dispatch indicates that, based on 2006 figures for Ohio, 1/6 of the abortions are by married women and 5/6 by unmarried women (never married, divorcees and widows). About 2/3rds of those having abortions have at least one child.

Likely conclusion: It appears that the decision to have an abortion, by and large, is an econimic decision.

No, sex outside marriage (especially when you know the consequences), is a dumb decision. Even with zillions of birth control methods, thoughts of how a relationship outside of marriage or with a different man might affect them and their child, what’s the upside and lessons learned... not to mention diseases, are not enough to have self-respect, esteem and think of the picture down the road?

I guess we women are so stupid we need men to decide we can kill our children... not that there’s a benefit to them as well.
