Hillary never claimed she met King, only that she saw him speak in person. She used the phrase "saw him speak in person" on Meet the Press last Sunday.

Well then someone is lying, because the Sheehy blurb in the link describes Hillary shaking hands with King, and how Hillary said meeting MLK transformed her. Either Don Jones her pastor made it up. Sheehy made it up. Or Hillary made it up. Bottom line is even if liberals are asking for us to give Hillary "leeway" on the dates, Hillary is using this supposed "meeting" with MLK to give her bona fides in the black community. I don't believe Hillary ever actually "met" King. The being in the audience I'll concede is possible, but I don't believe it either. It reminds me of her story about babysitting migrant farmer's children while they worked in the fields.
