It is not a stupid question. If you benefit from the business of IRS management then your opinions are not necessarily impartial.

No, I’m not in favor of higher taxes and prices for me. Any taxation system will favor something/someone over others. Changing to a new systemwill be better or some and worse for others. If it were better for everyone, it’d be done already.

It was a stupid question in that it was so broad as to cover everybody. Typical of conspiracy mavens.

Sounds like you are old enough to know that when someone approaches and says "I'm with the gov't and am here to help you" you want to make sure your exit is clear.
